Nuala Kennedy, although rooted in the Celtic music of her native Ireland and adopted homeland of Scotland, is increasingly recognized for her eclectic cross-genre work. She has recently worked and recorded with artists such as Will Oldham (Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy), Norman Blake (Teenage Fanclub) Euros Childs (Gorky’s) the late great Oliver Schroer and Ziggy Campbell from the band FOUND. ‘Tune In’, according to Timothy Leary, meant interacting harmoniously with the world around you - externalize, materialize, express your new internal perspectives. I can identify with that. When I play music on stage or informally with friends old and new, I feel that. When it's really working, we tune in to each other. I don't know if it is about taking a risk together, or communicating on a deeper, emotional level, or just doing what feels and sounds good in a certain moment, but it’s what I most love about playing music.” - Nuala Kennedy
