FIRST HEARING:
As befits the title, 'Doolin Harbour', the opening has sea sounds and sea-gulls and is flute led for the first quarter when the accordion joins in. It's into the final stretch before bodhran joins the fray - and that's Geraldine. Very tasteful but we were expecting a song!
So back to school for us, eh!!
The second track sets us at ease. A singer of song more than just a vocalist. She has obviously hand picked the songs she chooses to sing and coaxes the maximum from then while getting the lyrical message across.
Classy stuff.
1) Doolin Harbour
2) Go From My Window.
3) Lowlands.
4) Jealousy.
5) Johnny Miner.
6) Jeannie C.
7) Bonny Irish Maid.
8) Inishfree.
9) Lark In the Morning.
10) Whatever Goes Around Comes Around.
11) Reels: Battering Ram - Kinneagad Slashers - Leg of the Duck
12) Streets of Derry.
13) West Coast of Clare.
14) Aill Na Searrach - Hill of White Horses
