Biography
From the CD Booklet " Seventeen Minutes to Seven "
Born in Dublin, Peter Browne learned the Music of the uilleann pipes from three of the great masters of the instrument - Leo Rowsome, Willie Clancy and Seamus Ennis. He was a member of the groups Rafferty, 1691 and on occasion the Bothy Band and has played as a session musician on albums by Mary Black, Paul Brady, Mick Hanly, The Dubliners, Scullion and Cor Chuil Aodha. He spent several years living and working as a professional musician in Germany and has been a guest soloist with the Ulster Orchestra and the RTE Concert Orchestra.
He teaches and plays frequently at festivals and musical gatherings in ireland and abroad and has composed music, including a slow air and two reels which can be heard on this disc.
