Such is the popularity of the Dundee Stratgspey and Reel Society that they annually pack the Caird Hall for their Fiddlers Rally concert and are active throughout the rest of each year with Broadcasts, TV appearances and fundraising concerts. Under the skilful conductorship of Gordon Forbes they have become one of Dundee's Leading Musical Attributes.

This recording, made in the Woodlands Hotel, Barnhill, Dundee - where the Society holds its weekly practice work - portrays at its best the unique sound created by the blending of massed fiddles and accordions.
For this recording the Society is joined by special guest Jimmy Urquhart - the renowned Scottish singer, familiar to many for his appearances on the White Heather Club TV series, and more recently as a presenter on Radio Tay's Scottish evening slots.

Al in all, a collection of Scottish Music and Songs, old and new, for everyone to sit back and enjoy.
