Deirbhile Ni Bhrolchain's voice has a youthfulness and a freshness of feeling which belie her life-long experience of traditional music and song, from early days at her mother's feet and later in University College Galway, where Professors Breandan O Madagain and Gearoid MacEoin provided her with a subtler understanding and appreciation of the unique richness of the Irish song tradition.

Further study in Cork University with Dr. Micheal O Suilleabhain convinced her that her childhood ambition of being either an astrronaut or a singer would soon be decided. And yet, if the truth be told, this disc is something of a space voyage, a voyage in time, restoring vocal treasures to their original life-enchancing aura, for our time and for the future.
