Once well known in the East of Scotland, the Camperdown Singers were a close harmony group whose repertoire made them great favourites for ceilidhs, Burns nights and also regular appearances at the Mod.
The singers at the time of this recording in the early 1970s wer Jack Jamieson, Harry Troup, Colin Stewart and Willie Kilcullen supported by Charlie Milne on piano and Jerry Cambell on accordion.
The late Bill Douglas was an exeptionally talented fiddler who recorded extensively with his Scottish dance band. The line up at the time of this recording was Bill, Abb MacFarlane on accordion, David Little on piano, John Whyte on bass, George Stark on drums and accordion, jim MacFarlane a well known compere and singer.
